Activities with full instructions
Activity 1: Draw on moustaches
Everything is instantly more fun when you do it with a crazy moustache drawn on your face. That’s just a fact. Check out lots of different moustache styles in this activity and take turns drawing your favorites on your partner!
What you need for this activity
- Eyeliner pencil if drawing on bare skin, or eyebrow makeup (mascara-type) if drawing on existing facial hair
Instructions
- Refer to the sample moustache styles below. Pick your favorite and draw it on your partner without them seeing which one you choose first.
- If you are drawing on bare skin, the eyeliner pencil is the easiest way to draw on the moustache.
- If you are drawing your male partner who already has facial hair, use an eyebrow mascara makeup in a color darker than his natural hair (or white/blond if his hair is naturally very dark). If your partner already has a moustache, style it up silly with hair gel!
- Take a selfie together with your moustaches and post it on social media! Remember to tag @datingincaptivity.
Tip: When you are ready to remove your moustaches, use a makeup remover or micellar water for the best effect.

Activity 2: Plan a heist
If you’ve ever seen Netflix’s La Casa De Papel (Money Heist), you know that planning the perfect heist isn’t a simple task. You have to think through every possible scenario of what could happen and have a plan A-F for each to make sure that you get away clean. In this activity, you and your partner will be putting your heads together and using your imaginations to plan out the perfect heist with the help of our thought prompts. Good luck!
What you need for this activity
- Pen and paper
Instructions
Use the following prompts to help you plan your heist. Remember – this is an imaginary heist. Don’t actually go out and rob a bank!!
What’s the purpose of your heist?
Are you heisting for good – stealing money to give to charity? Making a political statement? Saving a life?
Or evil – to get money for yourselves? To get revenge?
What supplies do you need?
Do you need weapons? Which ones? How are you getting them?
Do you need a getaway car?
A laser to cut through something?
Things to keep your hostages tied up?
How are you going to transport your supplies with you?
Be comprehensive with your list!
How are you covering your trail?
Are you hiding your DNA, framing someone else, advertising that it was you? Are you using disguises? What does your secret disguise look like? Are you actively avoiding cameras? Shooting them out?
Where are you hiding out if you make it out alive?
Are you hopping straight on a plane, train, or automobile out of the country? Which country are you fleeing to?
Are you going to hide out near the scene of the crime?
Are you going to be able to hide in plain sight without anyone knowing it was you?
What are you going to do to bypass any alarms? Locks?
Are you picking locks discretely, sneaking through a window, or blowing up holes in walls?
Do you come in during the day when the alarms aren’t on or attempt to bypass the alarms when they are on? How?
Is anyone else in on your mission?
Are you hiding out at your parents’ house? Is your best friend going to be your get-away driver? Do you have a whole crew of rag-tag assailants ready to help?
What surveillance do you need before your heist?
How do you sneakily get all the intel you need? Do you pretend to be a delivery man? Someone from the alarm company? Wealthy contributor asking for a private tour?
Where would you stash what you steal?
Do you just have cash you can keep in your sock drawer? Do you need to bury your loot? Set up a money laundering business? Line your suitcases and take it to Switzerland?
What is your philosophy about collateral damage?
Could you hurt or even kill someone if you had to to make your heist successful? Are you willing to destroy property? Do you take a hostage if they rebel?
What do you do if your partner gets caught?
Do you try to save them from the cops? Follow through with the heist? How do you do it alone? Do you drop everything and run?
Draw up your plans.
Draw blueprints, maps, etc. to illustrate your heist.
Activity 3: Prisoner’s dilemma game
The Prisoner’s Dilemma is a classic game theory exercise that every college student has probably tried at some point or another in their economics or psychology classes. We’ve turned this academic theory into a fun game for you and your partner to play with candy!
What you need for this activity
- 30 pieces of candy (not full-sized candy bars)
- Pen and paper for each person
Instructions
- Take a pen and piece of paper each.
- Put 10 candies between you for each round.
- Read the scenario below and then write if you testify against your partner or keep quiet.
- Collect the candies that you’ve earned for that round.
- Repeat until you have played 3 rounds of the game or until you’ve collected up all of the candy!
Here is the scenario:
You and your partner have both been arrested for committing a crime. The police take you each into separate rooms and try to convince you to rat each other out. You and your partner individually need to decide if you will testify against each other or stay quiet.
- If you both stay quiet, you both get 5 pieces of candy.
- If one of you rats the other out, and the other one stays silent, the narc gets 10 pieces of candy and the person who stayed silent gets none.
- If you both rat each other out, neither of you gets any candy.
